This notice explains what happens to your information when you use otisbk.com, the website of Otis, 18 Harrison Pl, Brooklyn, NY 11206.

The short version

• We count visits with Google Analytics so we know which pages are useful. You can switch this off at any time with Privacy choices at the bottom of every page.
• We don't run ads, we don't sell your information and we don't share it for advertising.
• Bookings go through Resy and gift cards through GiftRocker. They handle those details under their own privacy policies.

What we collect

Visits to this site. If analytics is on, Google Analytics 4 records which pages you view, roughly where you are (city level), the kind of device and browser you use, how you arrived, and taps on things like our phone number, directions and booking times. Google Analytics 4 doesn't store IP addresses. We have turned off Google signals and ad personalisation, so this data isn't linked to your Google account or used for advertising. We keep analytics data for up to 14 months.

Hosting. The site is hosted by Vercel in the United States. Like any web server, it briefly processes your IP address and browser details to deliver pages and protect the site from abuse.

Reservations. When you pick a time, Resy's booking window opens and Resy collects your name, contact details and booking information under Resy's privacy policy. We see your booking in Resy so we can seat you.

Gift cards. Gift cards are sold through GiftRocker, which handles payment and recipient details under its own privacy policy.

Messages. If you email or call us, we use your details only to reply.

Cookies and similar technologies

• otis_privacy (set by Otis, stored in your browser): remembers your privacy choice until you clear it.
• otis_region (set by Otis, stored in your browser): remembers whether to show the cookie banner, until you close the tab.
• _ga and _ga_* (set by Google Analytics): tell one visit from the next so each visit is counted once. They last up to 2 years.

Google Analytics cookies are only set if analytics is on. Resy's booking window may set its own cookies when you open it.

Your choices

• Privacy choices. Use the link at the bottom of every page to turn analytics on or off. Your choice is saved in your browser.
• Global Privacy Control. If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal, we treat it as a request to opt out and analytics stays off.
• Visitors in the EU, UK and Switzerland are asked first, and analytics only runs if you accept.
• You can also block cookies in your browser settings, or install Google's opt-out add-on.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to ask what information we hold about you, to correct it, or to delete it. We don't sell personal information or share it for targeted advertising. To make a request, email info@otisbk.com. We'll reply within 30 days.

Children

This site isn't aimed at children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect their information.

If we change how we handle information, we'll update this page and the date below.
